My Yoga Background
I found yoga in high school in Boulder Colorado as a form of exercise and relief from teenage-induced anxiety. The practice stuck with me all through college. After school, I moved to New York City and once again, yoga was my source of relief from navigating a new environment. I loved the practice for the physical release and the sense of calm it left me with. I made a point to share the magic of yoga with anyone who was willing to listen.
After practicing for about 8 years, I decided to sign up for a teacher training program. In December 2016 I completed Sky Ting's 200 hour training. I quickly realized that there was so much more to this 'yoga' than the physical asanas. I was thrilled to learn about the ancient wisdom, meditation and breathing techniques that are equally as important as movement. It became clear how powerful this practice is and how transformative it can be for anyone who is willing to participate.
Since graduating, I have completed additional trainings including a mentorship with Alex Sharry and subtle body work with Kajuan Douglas.
I offer one on one yoga sessions tailored just for you. The hour is spent working through a series of postures that are selected to address your personal goals and needs.
